SkyDrive Two-Seater Flying Car
Propelling a step further into the future of mobility, Suzuki Motor Corporation has invested in SkyDrive Inc., a Japanese-based developer of flying cars and cargo drones.
Initially, the two entities formed an alliance back in March to venture in this particular development, and now with the new investment, it will further strengthen their bond.
In which, to cooperate with other investing companies, and aim toward social implementation of a new mobility for flying cars.
Notably, Suzuki will cooperate in development of technologies including weight reduction gained via the basic policy of ‘Sho, Sho, Kei, Tan, Bi’ (Smaller, Fewer, Lighter, Shorter, Neater).
The company will also touch on electrification, mass-production technologies, and business development in markets including India.
As for SkyDrive, it is currently developing a two-seater flying car that looks like a down-scaled helicopter, with six propellers on each side.
That said, in addition to providing mobility from the sea to the mountains via marine, motorcycle, and automobile businesses, Suzuki will now make efforts toward realizing the air mobility business.
