Best Global Brands 2022 survey: Mercedes-Benz's Brand Value Increased By 10%
According to Interbrand's "Best Global Brands 2022" survey, the Mercedes-Benz brand value has increased by 10% in the last year.
This demonstrates how successfully the company transitioned to an electric and software-driven future. In 2021, Mercedes-Benz started the brand realignment process by separating Daimler Trucks from the company and updating its business plan.
The objective is to continually take advantage of growth and profitability prospects while concentrating even more on the luxury market. Mercedes-Benz intends to manufacture the most desirable cars in the market and to dominate the electric drive and automotive software industries.
The carmaker stated in May 2022 that the model portfolio will be restructured in order to reach a structurally higher brand positioning. The strategic choice to go full electric in every market category by 2030, provided that market conditions let it, and the goal to achieve CO2-neutrality by 2039 further support the link between luxury and sustainability.
"Mercedes-Benz's sustained ranking in eighth place as well as the double-digit increase in brand value to more than US$56 billion provide affirmation of our strategic course. That is to define the sustainable luxury of the future, to put our customers even more at the centre of everything we do and to make every point of contact with our brand a unique experience,” says Bettina Fetzer, Vice President Communications and Marketing at MercedesBenz AG.
