Jambatan Kedua Sdn Bhd (JKSB) has confirmed that a 50% toll discount will be implemented at the Sultan Abdul Halim Mu’adzam Shah Bridge (Second Penang Bridge) in conjunction with the 2026 Chinese New Year celebration.

The discount, which is for Class 1 private vehicles, will take effect from 12.01am on Saturday, Feb 14, until 11.59pm on Sunday, Feb 15. The move according to Bernama aligns with the Cabinet’s earlier decision to provide toll relief during the festive period.

Earlier this week, the government announced a 50% toll discount on selected highways nationwide to help ease travel costs for Malaysians returning to their hometowns. The incentive applies to Class 1 private vehicles at toll plazas across the country, as well as Class 2 vehicles on the Penang Bridge, over the same two-day period.

However, the discount does not extend to toll plazas at the country’s borders, namely the Bangunan Sultan Iskandar (BSI) toll plaza on the North-South Expressway and the Tanjung Kupang toll plaza on the Malaysia-Singapore Second Link (LINKDUA).
