Hear ye, hear ye! Puspakom is going cashless, and the use of either a credit or debit card will be implemented instead.

The transition to cashless transactions starts on 1 December, 2022, and will first be specifically for the renewal of vehicle insurance and road tax.

Then, moving forward, every type of transactions available will adopt the cashless system at all 54 Puspakom checkpoints, starting 1 January 2023.

Puspakom stated, the cashless system will reduce contact time at the counter, and enable more efficient, transparent and secure transactions.

Additionally, all parties dealing at Puspakom checkpoints are reminded to use the available cashless facilities for all transactions.

"As a matter of fact, payments via the QR Pay and e-wallet systems are also encouraged," Puspakom said in a statement.

In short, all insurance and road tax renewals at the agency currently only accept cash or electric wallets (e-wallet).

Meanwhile, Puspakom Mobile Unit Service at certain remote locations continue to accept cash payments, for the time being.
