- DUKE Highway Touch 'n Go e-Wallet & RFID Down Due To Vandalism
As reported earlier, the Touch n’ Go paydirect and RFID payment system outage at DUKE and SPE Highway has not been solved.
However, the highway concessionaires investigation has revealed that the cause of the service disruption leading to today's massive congestion is vandalism. It is reported that there has been vandalism done on the 'fibre optic cable' at the communication line providers side, Telekom Malaysia (TM) at DUKE Highways.
The team from TM are working to repair the DUKE communication line as soon as possible.
Until the fibre optic cable issue is rectified, the public is advised to adhere to signages and ensure that they have their physical TnG card in hand with sufficient credit balance.
The folks at DUKE & SPE apologise for this blunder and inconvenience. We wonder if there is any CCTV footage of the vandals in action.
