IM Motors unveiled the IM LS7 in China on December 20. Pre-booking has begun, with prices ranging from 350,000 Yuan to 500,000 Yuan. It is IM Motors' second model, following the IS L7.

The automobile is positioned by the manufacturer as a medium-to-large pure electric five-seater SUV. It will make its formal debut in China in the second half of February 2023. Within an hour of beginning booking in China, the vehicle had over 3000 pre-bookings.

An electric car joint venture involving SAIC Motor, Zhangjiang Hi-Tech, and Alibaba Group is called IM Motors. They presented the LS7 concept car at the Shanghai Auto Show in 2021. It has a closed front face design with "L-shaped" headlights on both sides of the front.

The headlights use all-LED lighting. Three appropriate vents and LED daytime running lights are also included on the LS7. Additionally, IM Motors includes through-type vents to widen the lateral sight field. The car adheres to the design philosophy of earlier IM Motor models.

The LS7's body lines are generally smooth, and the sides don't have any very elaborate rib designs. The new car has a body that measures 5049 mm in length, 2002 mm in width, and 1731 mm in height, with a 3060 mm wheelbase. It is equipped with IM's Advanced Driving Assistance System on the top (ADAS). It has lidar units and a high-resolution camera.

On the back of the car, it has a sizable integrated spoiler. To increase the sportiness, the rear also employs a double-layer design with a wrapped rear diffuser style and through-type taillights.

The LS7 has a triple screen interior setup with an LCD instrument panel, a central control screen, and a display for the co-pilot. It is the first mass-produced car in China with a steering wheel that is just half-width. Another option offered by IM Motors is a full-width steering wheel. Additionally, it boasts 360-degree parking cameras and a huge panoramic sunroof.

With the IMOS2.0 update, the LS7 will have a new smart cockpit 2.0. It will be offered in 90kWh and 100kWh battery capacities. A joint venture between SAIC and CATL will build the 90kWh. The 100kWh+ model with a single motor and RWD has a 660 km CLTC cruising range. The four-wheel drive dual-motor variant produces 425 kW (650 hp) of power and 725 Nm of peak torque. With a CLTC cruise range of 615 kilometres, it accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in under 4.5 seconds.
