Registration of Interest for the 2023 BMW M2 Now Open in Malaysia
BMW Malaysia has officially opened the registration of interest (ROI) for the new 2023 BMW M2 in Malaysia. BMW M fans and enthusiasts alike can register their interests in owning this M-badged rear-wheel-drive (RWD) coupe via BMW Malaysia’s official webpage.
This registration is quite straightforward, as prospective owners just have to fill in their personal details and preferred BMW dealers in the ROI form at BMW Malaysia’s website.
The all-new 2023 BMW M2 made its global debut in Oct 2022, replacing the universally-praised Gen-1 F87 M2. This sporty coupe codenamed G87 harnesses BMW’s inline-6 3.0-litre M TwinPower Turbo mill rated at 454 HP and 550 NM. Staying true to its M performance roots, the new M2 comes with an optional six-speed manual transmission, aside from the standard eight-speed M Steptronic gearbox.
This powertrain combo propels the 2023 M2 from nought to 100 KM/H in only 4.1 seconds.
Riding on BMW’s CLAR platform that comes with Adaptive M dampers with Active M Differential, the 2023 M2 also comes with handling-improving features such as the M Compound brakes and M Servotronic electric steering system.
Prior to the second-gen 2023 G87 M2, BMW Malaysia has previously launched the BMW M2 Competition back in 2019 that is based on the first-gen F87 M2. Said Competition-spec M coupe was priced at around RM627,000.
As for the current-gen 2023 BMW M2, the price starts at around £61,495 (RM325,855) for the UK and the rest of the European markets. However, expect a much heftier price tag for the Malaysian-spec 2023 BMW M2, though BMW Malaysia has yet to disclose the official retail price for it, as well as the fact whether the M Performance Parts package will be made available too as an add-on upgrade.
