- Previewed: BMW 530i M Sport CKD – Est. RM400,000
BMW Group Malaysia previewed the new and localised (CKD)BMW 530i M Sport alongside the face-lifted 2025 BMW i4 eDrive35 M Sport earlier today.
BMW Group Malaysia kicked off the New Year earlier today on a high note by introducing two new offerings for the local market. We start with arguably the most critical of the two, that being the preview of the new BMW 530i M Sport.
The 530i M Sport slots above the 520i and 520i M Sport variants that’s already offered by the group. Similarly, this new and higher-specced guise of the combustion (ICE)-powered eighth-gen (chassis code: G60) 5 Series saloon is also a locally assembled (CKD) offering.
Apart from its M Sport exterior aerokit, this variant is also distinguished by its Iconic Glow Kidney Grille and 20-inch M light alloy wheels in style 938M pattern.
Under the hood, the 530i M Sport packs a peppier 2.0-litre 4-cyl turbo MHEV petrol mill outputting 258 HP and 400 NM.
Mechanically, the 530i M Sport adopts a peppier iteration of the same 2.0-litre 4-cyl turbo petrol mild hybrid (MHEV) mill powering its lower-end siblings mentioned. It boasts 50 HP and 70 NM more at 258 HP and 400 NM, and all are sent the rear wheels via an 8-speed automatic box.
Altogether, this enables 0-100 KM/H sprints in just 6.2 secs whilst enroute towards an electronically capped 250 KM/H V-max. Not only peppy, the 48-volt MHEV system primed in this package also sees it deliver class-leading fuel efficiency and low carbon emissions too.
Moving on to equipment and, naturally, this new range-topper has plenty of bells and whistles to boot. Starting with the chassis, this variant firstly gains Adaptive Suspension Professional, followed by Integral Active Steering that enables up to 2.5-degrees of rear-wheel-steering angle.
On board, the 530i M Sport offers the BMW Curved Display module and it's matched with top-shelf Bowers & Wilkins 655-watt 18-speaker audio suite, amongst many other features and amenities.
Step into its cabin and, besides the signature BMW Curved Display module that merges both a 12.3-inch instrument panel and 14.9-inch infotainment touchscreen, this range-topper gains a top-shelf Bowers & Wilkins 655-watt 18-speaker audio suite lining the cabin.
As for tech, the displays mentioned now run off the latest BMW Operating System 8.5 with QuickSelect, whilst drivers benefit with a bevy of assistance systems enabled through the Driving Assistant Plus and Parking Assist Plus packages that are primed as standard equipment.
The new BMW 530i M Sport sees five exterior paintjob options available matched with two dual-tone Merino leather interior colourway combinations. Lastly, there’s also an extensive catalogue of cost-option BMW M Performance parts for owners to personalise this sports sedan further with.
Bookings are now opened for the BMW 530i M Sport at an estimated starting price of RM400,000.
Should all this tickle your fancy, then be prepared. Set to arrive in showrooms soon, the BMW 530i M Sport is set to command and estimated price tag of RM400,000. Bookings for the new saloon are now opened at all authorised BMW dealership outlets nationwide.
