- 2023 Zeekr X Unveiled As The Brand’s Third Offering

Geely-owned brand Zeekr released the first real images of its third model without any disguise. Reportedly called the Zeekr X, it’s bound to make its public debut at the Shanghai Auto Show this year.
Interestingly, Geely's electric vehicle subsidiary has decided to call its new model the Zeekr X rather than the 003 as reported prior. The numerical naming was expected initially given the brand’s first two models were christened as th 001 and 009.

Details are scarce, but Chinese media outlets report that the full-electric crossover tags will be priced in said republic at approximately RMB200,000 (approx. RM127,000)
On the styling front, the Zeekr X was created by the brand's Gothenburg design studio. This suggests a change from Zeekr's Krypton styling language by introducing contemporary surfacing and high-tech accents.

Meanwhile, the crossover's front features split headlights, a grille-free design, a carved yet relatively short bonnet, and slim air intakes on the tall bumper. Leading on to that, the absence of door handles, the long, diagonal character line on the back windows, and the glossy-black accents on the wheel arches, mirrors, and roof further accentuated this X model’s profile.
Referring to spy photos, the X's dashboard has a minimalist design and is nearly vertical, housing a small digital instrument cluster and a sizable touchscreen infotainment system. There’s also an armrest and storage compartments both located in the centre console, which is kept apart from the centre stack located between the front seats.

Underneath, the X will have the same single-motor, rear-wheel drive and dual-motor, all-wheel drive powertrain options as the Smart #1. The battery will most likely have a 66 kWh capacity, and power outputs range from 268 HP to 422 HP.
Last but not least, the Zeekr X will go on sale in China during the second quarter of 2023. Overseas exports and sales are expected, most notably Europe.
