This was announced earlier today when PHSAM previewed the Audi e-tron GT quattro at the recently opened Audi Centre Setia Alam. This makes Malaysia the first market in the region to have Audi's electrified e-tron range in full on sale.
It, along with its hotter RS e-tron GT twin, command tentative price tags of RM559,000 and RM749,000 respectively. As for its SUV cousin, things tentatively start from RM369,000 for the regular SUV-bodied Q8 e-tron, whereas its sporty twin the Q8 e-tron Sportback tentatively commands RM476,000 instead.
“The e-tron range has been purpose-built inside-out with only the best performance in mind. It reinforces Audi’s identity as a pioneer for the future and a perfect showcase of Audi’s technological aspirations,” said Erik Winter, MD of PHSAM, during the special preview event. The exec further adds that all models from the brand’s e-tron range will be in the market within the coming months.
For Malaysia, PHSAM will offer the Q8 e-tron duo in both advanced 50 and S Line 55 trimlines. Key highlights in the Q8 e-tron duo with sizeable battery packs rated at 95 kWh (advanced 50) and 114 kWh (S Line 55), which in turn promises up to 410 KM and 481 KM in range respectively. Notably, Malaysia is also the first Asian market to receive the model following its recent refresh.
Moving on to the e-tron GT sports saloon range, PHSAM will offer the model in base e-tron GT quattro, followed by an up-specced e-tron GT quattro with Dynamic Package, as well as the hotter and performance-driven RS e-tron GT. All harness an 85 kWh battery pack, promising up to 501 KM in range plus compatibility with fast charging up to a rate of 270 kW.
Key highlights across the board include all-new singleframe projector lighting, new digital matrix LED headlights, as well as virtual exterior mirrors – cameras and screens replacing traditional glass for this. As for after-sales coverage, PHSAM states that various after-sales service and warranty programs are being developed for the e-tron range specifically.
Keen to take a gander at RS e-tron GT? PHSAM notes that, for a limited time only, the model will be previewed at Audi showrooms located in Glenmarie, Juru and Setia Alam. Additionally, it will also be shown at the upcoming Audi Showcase that’s happening at 1Utama from Feb 22 to Feb 26.
