- Geely Aims To Sell 1.65 Million Vehicles In 2023
Geely Automobile has announced a new sales target of 1.65 million units this year, which represents approximately 15% increase over sales in 2022.
According to the Chinese automaker, it foresees fresh opportunities through the leading autonomous vehicles industry and exports this year ahead.
As part of its financial results, the Chinese automaker has achieved a total of 252,787 units delivered globally for its high-end vehicles.
Thus, its higher segment flagship vehicles garnered a total of 1,432,988 million units – up 8 percent which goes beyond the firm’s expectation of an annual sales target.
Based on monthly sales, the highest volume hits more than 30,000 units having the average sales accumulated to 150,000 RMB (approx. RM 976 K).
Outstandingly, sales of new energy and electrified vehicles in 2022 boosted by more than 300% to 328,727 units for models from Geely Auto, Geometry, Lynk & Co, Zeekr, and Livan.
Thus, in a single month, the company's share of new energy and electrified vehicle sales reached 30%.
Geely Auto also unveiled its latest high-end new energy product series, "Geely Yinhe," in February 2023, highlighting the brand's latest electrified product.
To conclude, Geely’s net income climbed 9% to 5.26 billion RMB (RM342 billion) in the 12 months ended Dec 31 from the year before.
