Gentari Signs MoUs with MoEVing & Gati - Clean Energy Solutions In India

In 2022, Gentari signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Tata Motors, India's leading commercial vehicle manufacturer, under which the latter will provide 5,000 units of Tata Ace EV - India's most advanced, zero-emission, four-wheel compact commercial vehicle - over three years.
The agreement calls for 1,000 units to be delivered in the first year for deployment in cities such as Delhi, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Pune, and Kolkata. A vehicle handover ceremony was organised at the 8th Smart Cities India Expo, where Gentari is the official Green Mobility Solutions partner, to commemorate the delivery of the first batch of 100 trucks in March and April of this year between Shah Yang Razalli, Gentari’s Chief Green Mobility Officer and Ashish Tandon, Senior General Manager, Product Line - SCV&PUs, Tata Motors.
Furthermore, under a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with electric mobility provider MoEVing Urban Technology Private Limited (MoEVing), Gentari has expanded its Vehicle-as-a-Service (VaaS) service by providing 1,000 three-wheeler was represented by Abhishek Dabas, Gentari’s Chief Executive Officer for green mobility solutions in India, and MoEVing was represented by Vikash Mishra, its Founder and CEO.

“High quality electric four-wheelers coming into the market opens a whole new segment to electrify in the urban delivery ecosystem. We are excited to work with Gentari to deploy three- and four-wheeler commercial electric vehicles across India to reduce the carbon footprint of deliveries. With our operations, charging and maintenance footprint spanning across India, we hope to bring change on-ground and electrify deliveries for e-commerce, e-grocery, the logistics segment and now also large FMCG and traditional companies,” Vikash Mishra, MoEVing’s CEO said.
On a separate note, Gentari and logistics operator Gati KWE (Gati) signed an MOU to provide 500 electric cargo cars through its VaaS product. Abhishek Dabas represented Gentari once more, while Charles Devlin D'Costa represented Gati as its Chief Transformation Officer.
Mr Pirojshaw Sarkari, CEO of Gati Ltd (An AllCargo Group Company), commented on this association, "We are committed to our vision to offer green express logistics solutions and support the government’s goal to cut the net carbon emissions to zero by 2070. As a part of our ESG initiatives, we have plans to convert our entire pickup and delivery fleet to alternative fuel by 2025. The collaboration with Gentari will help us accelerate the transition and attain our sustainability goals. We are committed to build a sustainable express logistics ecosystem."
However, on the local front in Malaysia, Gentari’s focus is more towards the expansion of the EV charging network and of recently deploying battery swapping facilities in Petronas stations to facilitate Blueshark electric bikes battery swapping requirements.
