IJM Corp Bhd supports the government's initiative to provide highway users with payment options. Wan Salwani Wan Yusoff, chief executive officer of IJM Toll Division, stated that the company applauds the government's initiative and is fully committed to ensuring the smooth implementation of the open payment system. "Through this, highway users will be able to pay tolls using their debit or credit cards, among other methods," Wan Salwani said in a statement. Work Minister Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi previously stated that five highways across the country will begin implementing an open payment system by September of this year.

This includes the Sungai Besi Expressway (Besraya) and the New Pantai Expressway (NPE), both of which are operated by the IJM Toll Division. "We have been in numerous discussions with the Works Ministry, the Malaysian Highway Authority, and other relevant parties about the open payment system since early this year." "The minister did mention that the open payment system will be made available to the public by September this year, so we will be working hard to meet that deadline," Wan Salwani said.
