DASH Toll Collection Starts Tomorrow - Ensure TnG Credit Is Sufficient!
And just like that, the Damansara-Shah Alam Elevated Expressway (DASH) has been operational for about a month and a half with today being the LAST day for FREE expressway usage. According to Projek Lintasan Damansara-Shah Alam Sdn Bhd (PROLINTAS), the concession holder company for DASH, Thursday, 1 December 2022 at 12.01 midnight, toll collection will begin.
The DASH Expressway which was launched last October 13, spans a length 20.1-kilometre highway connecting Puncak Perdana to Penchala. There are in total 13 intersections spanning the length of the expressway.
According to PROLINTAS, all users would be charged the same toll rate when they pass through any of the three toll plazas on DASH Highway, namely Denai Alam Toll Plaza, RRIM Toll Plaza (Kwasa Damansara) and Kota Damansara Toll Plaza based on their vehicle class.
Cars and buses would be charged a toll fare of RM2.30, taxi RM1.20, lorry RM4.60 while large trailers RM6.90. Toll collections would be fully electronic using either Touch 'N Go, SmartTAG or RFID cards. Users are advised to ensure that the Touch 'N Go card and e-wallet balance is sufficient before entering the DASH Expressway.
According to the operators, DASH Highway’s Operation Division will constantly monitor the smoothness of the toll collection system at all three toll plazas in addition to stationing staff at the toll plaza lanes in both directions of the highway, especially during peak hours to assist users who face difficulties. Users are also advised to comply with road safety rules and direction signs provided when passing through the toll plaza to ensure a smooth journey to their destination.
Now that the expressway is not free, we do sincerely hope that all feedback and complaints be addressed better especially with regards to the road surface condition at the entirety of the expressway.
