- New Acura Integra Type-S To Have 320HP - Full Reveal In April 2023
As per our report back in Dec, the entire development of the new Integra Type-S is taking place in Japan, and would share the familiar 2.0-liter turbocharged power plant and 6-speed manual transmission used in the current generation Honda Civic Type-R. This is made easier with both models sharing the same underpinnings to begin with.
Today, the folks at Acura announced that this much awaited “proper” Integra in the Type S variant would be launched in the 3rd quarter of 2023 featuring 320 HP and 434Nm of torque. Acura claims this combination would provide the driver a class leading ultimate street performance sedan in terms of power-to-weight.
In the short video dropped by Acura, we are reassured the Integra Type-S would also carry Honda’s signature Type-R 3-tailpipe exhaust setup that is tuned to accentuate the turbocharged engine's sound without any stereo trickery.
Acura would be revealing the Integra Type-S at the 48th annual Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach for those who cannot wait to get a full view of the Integra Type-S without any of its camouflage.
