New F1 Style Track Approved For Construction In New Jersey?
A new Formula 1-style racetrack has been set to be established in Atlantic City, New Jersey. This project includes homes and businesses which likely to be built on the site of an old landing field.
With a $2.7 billion (approx. RM11.9 billion) investment, this suggested 3.9KM extensive track will be built of 1,000 units of housing, 234,000 square feet of retail and commercial space, along with several parking garages.
Adding on to that, this ought to be an exclusive racing track that has six to nine years of completion before its official commencement.
As reported by international news online, whether the project will actually be taken seriously or not has yet to be seen. This is because Michael Binder, a representative for the developers stated that the track will be designed by "the world’s foremost designer from Spain." However, he did agree that New Jersey is known for stillborn developments.
Separately, the Formula 1 tracks need to be designed with careful planning in mind as to how the cars will perform on the circuit. Over the years, there have been races held in multiple countries on lots of different circuits, which may make the fans wonder how many F1 tracks there are in the world.
Currently, a total of 75 circuits have hosted F1 races in the past which can be found across 34 different countries all around the world.
However, according to FLOW RACERS, most of these circuits are no longer fit for F1 thus leading to only 40 capable circuits worldwide that meet FIA grade to host a modern-day Grand Prix.
