The Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) has issued a statement with regards to a road bullying incident that took place on 30 Dec 2022. According to PDRM, they had caught wind of the 16-second video clip of the incident through the social media channel.

The road-bullying incident, which happened at about 2pm along the Seremban-Port Dickson Highway (SPDH), in Negeri Sembilan, involved a Toyota Hilux and two BMWs, a M4 and Z4. According to PDRM's initial investigation, the incident was sparked off when the two BMW owners confronted the driver of the Hilux at the Mambau Rest Area due to damage sustained on the Z4 resulting from a piece of pipe that fell off the flatbed of the Hilux.

From a 3 minute and 46 second video uploaded by the BMW driver, it seems the driver of the Toyota Hilux was not interested in paying for the damage caused with the notion that the BMW drivers are "wealthy" enough to bear the damage repair themselves.

The incident did not end there when the Hilux driver ordered the BMW drivers to wait for his friends whom he had called to arrive. Seeing that this matter would not be settled the BMW drivers decided to leave and lodge a police report themselves. However, the Hilux driver refused to let them leave.

The BMW drivers somehow managed to flee but the Hilux driver managed to catch up due to heavy traffic and at one point blocked the BMWs in the middle of the highway. After a series of dangerous driving encounters, the BMW driver managed to get away from the Hilux and proceeded to the nearby police station to lodge a report and request police escort assistance back to their destination.

Based on the video, the police had informed the BMW drivers that they would investigate the matter and take action against the Hilux driver; however, after close to 3 months, no action has been taken prompting the BMW driver to upload the video footage on social media to catch PDRMs attention. Well it worked.

PDRM would be requesting for all parties and witnesses to present themselves to have their statements taken for further investigation.
