The My BMW World 2025 showcase also witnessed the debut of the facelifted BMW M4 Competition M xDrive.
The ongoing My BMW World 2025 showcase has also witnessed the debut of yet another BMW M model, this time around being the facelifted version (or Life Cycle Impulse in BMW’s lingo) of the G82-gen BMW M4 Competition M xDrive. This high-performance coupe is now available for purchase at RM878,800 on-the-road sans insurance or RM930,900 if you opt for the BMW Service & Repair Inclusive (BSRI).
Silently debuted back in Aug 2024, this is the first time the M4 LCI was being displayed publicly, and the 2025 model also sees a slight price increment from the original RM870,800 price tag back then.
With that being said, the LCI treatment sees the 2025 M4 gaining some new design tweaks, with the most notable one being the redesigned LED headlights with dual DRLs, new optional laser LED taillights, and a unique decal on the front hood finished in either black or red.
Being a proper, full-blown M car, the new M4 Competition xDrive also comes with several M-specific bits, including the M Lights Shadowline and extended M High-Gloss Shadowline packages, plus a carbon fibre roof. Not to forget, this performance coupe also rides on a staggered set of 19- and 20-inch M forged double-spoke style 826 M wheels finished in black, with red high-gloss M Compound brakes hiding beneath them.
The M treatment continues as we get inside the M4, and the first thing you’ll notice as you jump inside the coupe are the semi-bucket M sport seats wrapped in bold blue and yellow leather upholstery. These bold colours are matched with the M carbon fibre trims and accents, the M leather steering wheel with paddle shifters, anthracite M headliner, M seat belts, and galvanic embellishers for the control elements.
Other modern creature comforts primed here include the BMW Curved Display setup featuring a 14.9-inch central infotainment screen powered by BMW OS 8.5 and a 12.3-inch digital metre cluster with M-specific graphics, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity courtesy of the Connected Package Professional, dual-zone climate control, multi-colour ambient lights, a wireless charger, and many more.
Powertrain-wise, the facelifted M4 Competition xDrive continues to draw its power from a familiar 3.0-litre turbocharged inline-six S58 engine that now outputs 530 hp and 630 Nm. This enables the M coupe to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.5 seconds, while 0-200 km/h is achieved in 11.8 seconds.
The S58 lump is matched to an 8-speed M Steptronic Sport automatic transmission that sends power to all wheels via BMW’s proprietary xDrive all-wheel drive (AWD) system and an M Sport differential. Other M-specific performance parts primed here include the Adaptive M Suspension, M Drive Professional package, and many more.
