- 500 Police Control Traffic In Gua Musang Starting April 20
In conjunction with Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebrations, the Kelantan Police agreed to deploy up to 500 personnel officers for the Op Selamat road safety campaign in Gua Musang.
Kelantan Police Chief Datuk Muhamad Zaki claims that the number involves 254 traffic policemen to join the operation and control anticipated traffic congestion.
He further said that this year, the department will focus more on traffic flow in Gua Musang due to the main road being temporarily closed for repair works.

‘’We expect this road to be heavily congested because Kelantan folks will take the opportunity to return to their hometowns for the Aidilfitri celebrations after several years of COVID-19 restrictions,’’ he told reporters earlier.
Muhamad Zaki also said Op Lancar will be held for two days starting today (April 18) as a preliminary preparation to identify the flow of traffic in Gua Musang, Kelantan.
Through Op Lancar, he said the police would determine the roads that would be closed, diverted or turned into one-way lanes to overcome traffic congestion.
As reported earlier by local news online, the closure of the main Gua Musang-Kuala Lipis road began last Saturday (April 15).
Following that, it’s also expected to reduce the risk of accidents during the festive season and improve the safety aspects of road users that are expected to overflow from March 18.

"The road has now been upgraded through the widening of the road from the Kampung Pulai junction to the Gua Musang District Police Headquarters (IPD) junction’’
In addition, he said, to ensure smooth traffic, JKR also provides a complete Traffic Management Plan as a guide for road users.
