BMW Turns Its 7 Series Into Stadium Front-Row Seats With Football On Theatre Screen

Bundesliga matches are now available on the Theatre Screen.
The BMW Theatre Screen in the 7 Series is a fantastic piece of technology, and it would be a shame not to fully utilise its capabilities. As a result, the German automaker is working to provide exciting content to both drivers and passengers. As part of a partnership with the DFL Deutsche Fußball Liga, the company brought Bundesliga football content to the 7 Series in January. At the time, BMW launched a very limited test of a so-called pilot application that gave Curved Display users access to Bundesliga content. The carmaker is now ready to expand on this concept by converting the 7 Series into front-row stadium seats. Bundesliga matches are now available on the Theatre Screen, and the app is now available in more countries throughout Europe, America, and Asia. Countries such as Belgium, France, Italy, Singapore, the United States, the United Arab Emirates, and Korea will get access to the pilot program.

The Bundesliga In-Car App can be downloaded from the Fire TV app store and provides high-quality streaming even while driving thanks to 5G support. The football games however are not available to the driver while the vehicle is in motion. When the car is parked, however, the Curved Display displays content because driver distraction is no longer an issue. The live games are also available on the Curved Display in other BMW models built in April 2023 or later, such as the X5, X6, and X7. In models produced after March of this year, the BMW iX gained access to the same capabilities.

The Theatre Screen, on the other hand, will always show football matches for rear passengers. Regardless of the vehicle's status, the 31.3-inch panoramic display would not interrupt streaming. BMW says the pilot programme will run until March 31, 2024, so starting April 1 next year, all 7 Series owners, regardless of where they live, should have access to the same content.
