Limited Edition MINI JCW 1to6 Announced – Just 999 Units, All MT Only

New MINI John Cooper Works 1to6 Edition - just 999 units planned.
Whilst the new fourth-gen MINI hatchback enters its final leg of development, the BMW-owned iconic British marque has spawned yet another special limited-run version of the current, face-lifted third-gen model called the MINI John Cooper Works 1to6 Edition.
As aptly suggested by its name, the MINI JCW 1to6 celebrates the wonderful joy of rowing your own gears as it comes exclusively primed with a 6-speed manual transmission only. Said transmission type is paired with the signature JCW-spec 2.0-litre 4-cyl turbo mill that delivers 228 HP and 320 NM to the front wheels.

All 999 units of the MINI JCW 1to6 comes in 3-door hatch form and dressed in Midnight Black only.
The model was revealed online ahead of its planned public debut at this week’s Nürburgring 24 Hour race. Notably, this special marks the end of a 64-year span of manual-boxed MINI models. BMW Group appears to have dropped this transmission option for it upcoming successor, which includes an all-electric version.
It has been created with “driver enjoyment and involvement” at its core, says brand boss Stefanie Wurst, who also underlined the special’s secondary aim of celebrating the brand’s legendary motorsports heritage. In other words, this new MINI JCW 1to6 edition will stand as a collector’s item with just 999 units planned.

This special also gets bespoke Gloss Black-finished 18-inch alloy wheels plus a bonnet stripe motif depicting a manual transmission graphic.

Other special touches include 1to6 badges in the C-pillar, rear splitter and door sills, as well as a manual transmission graphic on the tailgate.
Besides the transmission, all 1to6 editions will come in 3-door hatch form dressed in Midnight Black metallic hue with a bonnet stripe motif depicting a manual transmission graphic, matched with bespoke gloss-finished 18-inch alloy wheels and special ‘1to6’ badging on the C-pillar and rear splitter.
On board, the basic cabin design and layout remains, which features an 8.8-inch central touchscreen. The bonnet stripe’s transmission emblem is repeated on the door sills, floor mats, passenger side trims, as well as the steering wheel, all of which upholstered in Nappa leather.

Basic cabin and dash design layout remains, but there are 1to6 badges on the steering and dash trim.

Commemorative graphics are also present on the sunroof, all to celebrate this being the last manual-boxed MINI.
Present too are special graphics denoting each model’s number in its 999-unit production range.
Though global market availability remains unclear. Reports from the UK, which is a key right-hand-drive (RHD) market for the marque, will see just 150 units offered, each commanding a base price of £39,600 (approx. RM 223,700).
