PLUS Hari Raya Aidiladha TTA & Smartlane Activation - 27 June To 2 July, 2023
In conjunction with the upcoming Hari Raya Aidiladha celebrations, PLUS Malaysia Berhad (PLUS) has released its Travel Time Advisory (TTA) schedule for those who are planning to travel back to their hometown or return to the Klang Valley. This TTA would be from 27th June to 2nd July 2023.
With this TTA PLUS aims to distribute traffic efficiently and avoid congestion from travellers entering the highway simultaneously especially at major highway routes, toll plazas and rest areas.
Travellers from Klang Valley heading towards Perlis, Kedah, Pulau Pinang, Perak (Kuala Kangsar - Bukit Merah) and Johor are advised to depart before 10am while those heading to Negeri Sembilan, Melaka and Perak (Tanjung Malim - Ipoh) are to begin travelling between 12pm to 3pm from the dates of 27 June till 29 June.
As for the travel heading back to Klang Valley from 30 June to 2 July, all travellers are advised to depart before 10am. PLUS advises all travellers to ensure their Touch ‘n Go and eWallet are reloaded sufficiently.
In addition to the TTA, PLUS will also activate SmartLane at five locations along the highway to facilitate smoother traffic flow. The five SmartLane locations are:
- Between Port Dickson Interchange and Seremban Interchange (KM260.0 to KM263.1 - Northbound)
- Between Senai Utara Interchange and Kulai Interchange (KM19.0 to KM27.0 - Northbound)
- Gua Tempurung - Gopeng (KM306.7 to KM297.0 - Northbound)
- Slim River - Sungkai (KM367.3 to KM354.1 - Northbound)
- Rawang Rest & Service Area - Sungai Buaya (KM439.9 - KM435.5 - Northbound)
However, the activation of these SmartLane's will depend on the actual traffic conditions which would be monitored by the Royal Malaysia Police, Road Transport Department, and PLUS Highway officers at the respective locations.
Furthermore, travellers are encouraged to use the PLUS Application, Waze, or Google Maps to obtain better travel plans and real-time traffic information. Travellers are also advised to respect other highway users and practise driving at appropriate speeds.
