Toyota bZ4X EV was previewed in Malaysia last month.
Since announcing plans to develop and market solid-state batteries that will allow its next-generation EVs to travel more than 900 miles (1,448 kilometres) on a single charge, Toyota has been in the news frequently. This is primarily due to its resistance to switching to an all-electric lineup globally as soon as possible.
Despite this most recent development, the Japanese automaker will still sell hybrids, plug-in hybrids, and vehicles powered by hydrogen well into the following decade. In fact, by 2030, 1.7 million EVs will be produced annually out of a total of 3.5 million vehicles that also includes ICE models and hydrogen-based powertrains. Accelerated EV development sees Toyota aiming to produce up to 1.7 million EVs by 2030.

However, due to a European Union law requiring all new cars and vans sold starting in 2035 to be zero-emission vehicles, Toyota will be forced to discontinue its gas-powered models in one of the region's largest markets—Europe. And given that there are so few hydrogen refuelling stations on the Old Continent, it is obvious that the Japanese automaker will rely on electric vehicles (EVs) in this region. Owning a hydrogen-powered car is very challenging due to the lack of hydrogen refuelling stations. The company's chief operating officer (COO), Matt Harrison, said during the Automobile News Europe Congress that the automaker doesn't support the Euro 7 standard put forth by the EU, which requires automakers to reduce the average carbon dioxide emissions of their fleets by 55 percent by 2030 compared to levels in 2021.

Toyota bZ4X EV has 71.4 kWh Battery, 201 HP, 500 KM Range.

In addition, he predicts that the standard won't be completely abandoned but will be modified to "something more realistic." In this regard, a draught to permit e-fuels was first proposed back in March, and both Germany and Italy expressed their opposition to the plan. “We will be ready to sell 100 percent BEVs from 2035,” Toyota’s European COO said, estimating that the Nippon carmaker’s share of EV sales will go from zero in 2022 to 15 percent in 2025 and 55 percent in 2030.

This is consistent with the company's recently disclosed plans to increase the global production of battery electric vehicles to 1.7 million units by 2030, when solid-state batteries are anticipated to enable driving distances of more than 900 miles.
