The promotion, according to KTMB, began on July 1 and is valid through this December.

For the duration of this month, Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB) offers a 50% discount on tickets for the electric train service (ETS) as a token of appreciation to the passengers. According to a statement issued by KTMB on 7 July, the promotion, which is only available to Malaysian citizens, aims to provide opportunities for savings to the general public and to support the country's tourism industry.

The special offer is valid on all ETS routes on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays between Padang Besar and Gemas.

"Users can select to purchase a one-way or two-way trip to any ETS destination." The statement reads.
Discounting involves certain dates specifically for adult category tickets by using a promo code according to the date, namely on July 11 (promo code: TRAVELLOKALJULY11), July 12 (TRAVELLOKALJULY12), July 13 (TRAVELLOKALJULY13), July 18 (TRAVELLOKALJULY18). image.png

In the meantime, KTMB provides an additional RM5 discount off the total travel fare for all ETS services, including business class, as a gesture of appreciation for the elderly.

The promotion, according to KTMB, began on July 1 and is valid through this December. Not only that, KTMB is currently providing all senior citizens of Malaysia who have registered through the KTMB mobile application with a 50% discount on ticket prices from the original price for all journeys using KTMB services. For the special offer that is valid on all ETS routes from Padang Besar to Gemas every Tuesday to Thursday, senior citizens who have registered for the concession must use the promo code PRIHATINEMAS when purchasing tickets.
