- UMW Toyota Sells More Toyota, Lexus In June Than May

UMW Toyota Motor, a subsidiary of UMW Holdings Bhd, sold 8,669 vehicles in June, exceeding the 8,004 units sold in May 2023.UMWT saw a 6.0% increase in sales volume over the same period last year, with 8,559 Toyota vehicles and 110 Lexus vehicles delivered. The company said year-to-date sales for June demonstrated exceptional growth, with a cumulative total of 48,659 units sold.

The debut of the brand-new Toyota Innova Zenix in June, which was offered in both internal combustion engine (ICE) and hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) models, was another significant turning point in the company's unwavering commitment to sustainability and carbon neutrality.

UMWT also announced the opening of order books for the all-new Toyota Alphard and Vellfire MPVs, with estimated pricing of RM538,000 on-the-road without insurance for the Alphard 2.4T Executive Lounge and RM438,000 for the Vellfire 2.5. The sixth season of the GR GT Cup Malaysia virtual racing series was also announced by the company. According to UWMT, the GR GT Cup Malaysia is the first and only e-sports motor racing event organised by a car company in Malaysia, with a total prize pool of RM90,000, and the finals will be held on August 19 and 20.
