- 2023 Toyota Vios Aces ASEAN NCAP Assessment, 5-Stars Rating

The 2023 Toyota Vios (AC100) received a 5-star rating in the most recent ASEAN NCAP assessment, following the rules established for 2021-2025. The newly tested Vios G variant managed to score a total of 78.70 points.
This score is broken down to Adult Occupant Protection (AOP) receiving 35.25 points, Child Occupant Protection (COP) receiving 16.64 points, Safety Assist (SA) receiving 16.08 points, and Motorcyclist Safety (MS) receiving 10.73 points.

In most regions, the new Toyota Vios comes standard with six airbags, with the exception of one, which has only two. The sedan offers an extensive safety package that includes Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Seat Belt Reminder System (SBR) for both front and rear seat occupants, and Pedestrian Protection technology as standard.
Other standard safety features available in the new Vios are Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB) City, AEB Inter-Urban, AEB Pedestrian, Lane Departure Warning (LDW), Forward Collision Warning (FCW), Lane Keep Assist (LKA), Blind Spot Detection (BSD) on both sides of the vehicle, and Auto High Beam (AHB).

The Toyota Vios, which is positioned as the brand's entry-level model, remains one of the most popular cars in South East Asia. Asean NCAP praises Toyota's commitment to enhancing vehicle safety, protecting both occupants and other road users through the incorporation of various safety assist technologies, is commendable.
The current ASEAN NCAP 2021-2025 assessment procedure includes four assessment domains, with AOP accounting for 40.00 points of the overall score and COP, SA, and MS each accounting for 20.00 points.
