Following the launch of the MyJalan app by the Works Ministry (KKR) in August of this year, the ministry has received a total of 1,000 complaints about road damage, Bernama reported.

According to its deputy minister, Datuk Seri Abdul Rahman Mohamad there were numerous complaints, but the majority of them did not involve roads under the ministry's jurisdiction.

However, the ministry is assisting by forwarding complaints to the appropriate parties, such as local government authorities (PBT), state authorities, and the Rural and Regional Development Ministry for village roads.

The MYJalan app serves as a one-stop shop for citizens to report road issues. It accepts all complaints, including those about roads that are not maintained by the Ministry of Public Works.

This application aims to improve road users' safety and comfort, as well as to reduce the number of road accidents caused by road damage.
