The Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) acknowledged 26 Petron dealers for their vital contributions to the Go-To-Safety-Point (GTSP) campaign in 2022. Since then, over 760 Petron service stations have been converted into safe havens that can offer immediate emergency help.

Head of Retail Business at Petron Shaliza Mohd Sidek underlined the company's ten-year partnership with PDRM in the GTSP programme as well as its dedication to public safety.

PDRM oversees the GTSP programme, under the government's "United Against Crime" nationwide initiative, which aims to protect local communities' safety and security. 36 GTSP incidents, including medical crises, traffic accidents, and domestic violence, were recorded by Petron's service stations in 2022.

Dato' Azman Ayob, the deputy director of operations at the Bukit Aman Crime Prevention and Community Safety Department (JPJKK), praised Petron for her steadfast commitment to the GTSP programme.

All Petron service stations are easily identifiable through GTSP window decals and offer a 'de-stress' corner equipped with essential amenities such as a first aid kit, chairs, and blankets for customers awaiting assistance.

Furthermore, in 2022, Petron collaborated with local artist, Art Battalion to create GTSP murals at their service stations which the design has since been incorporated into eco-friendly hot cup sleeves made from recycled paper. One standout design, features a mother putting a helmet on her daughter, along with a Malay proverb, "Alah bisa, tegal biasa," emphasising the importance of crash helmet usage.

Richiamo Coffee is a Malaysian premium coffee shop chain which would be using these sleeves for their cups. Muhamad Zamry Abu Samah, the managing director of Richiamo Coffee, a premium coffee shop chain in Malaysia, expressed excitement for the partnership, and is looking forward to it as part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme and branding initiatives.

Starting this December, three Richiamo Coffee locations within Petron service stations will sell the GTSP-branded hot cup sleeves. Petron intends to grow this programme to include more Richiamo locations and more than 40 Treats retailers in its service station coffee programme.
