Perodua had sold 88,537 units of car in the third quarter of this year, which is a remarkable 28.3% increase over the 69,011 units sold in the same quarter of 2022. Improvements in production efficiency were credited to the production of 91,528 units—a 21.7% increase over the same quarter in 2022 due to the notable gain in sales.

Thanks to better raw material and parts supply, Perodua's President and CEO, Dato' Sri Zainal Abidin Ahmad, announced that the company will now begin aiming to raise monthly production figures to exceed 30,000 units in the third quarter of 2023. Perodua has manufactured 245,341 units so far in 2023, an increment of 18.6% over the same period in 2022.

Dato' Sri Zainal went on to add that this boost in output shows how the Malaysian automotive industry can achieve economies of scale while maintaining standards of quality and affordability. He predicts that Perodua will set new records for production and sales in the fourth quarter of 2023.

Meanwhile, Perodua is dedicated to cut down on customer waiting times, with an improved wait time targeted for January 2024 onwards. In the first nine months of this year, their year-to-date registrations have risen to 233,227 units, up from 196,354 units during the same period last year. The Perodua Bezza, Perodua Axia, and Perodua Myvi were the best-selling Perodua models at this time.
