- Toyota Sales Reaches New High Of 5.6 Million Vehicles Worldwide
With an astounding 8.3% increase in global sales from April to September, Toyota Motor Corp. has once again demonstrated its dominance in the world market. With a total of 5,596,183 sales, the automaker has proven its unwavering dedication to satisfying the world's rapidly rising demand for its cars.
Strong demand and improved supply have contributed to Toyota's remarkable growth, which is expected to continue producing large gains for another year, Bloomberg reported.
The automaker reported that during the April to September period, production and sales increased year over year as the shortage of semiconductors decreased. Global production rose by 10% to 5.7 million units, including figures from subsidiaries Daihatsu Motor Co. and Hino Motors Ltd.
According to Automotive News Europe, strong consumer demand and improved supply conditions have put the nation on course for more significant gains this year. This year's increase in global production is the third straight year that it has increased. After two years, this is the first sales increase.
Sales of Toyota and its Lexus brand rose in Africa by 22%, the biggest growth of any continent. Europe grew at a rate of 7%, North America at 9.4%, and the Middle East at 17%. However, some regions of Asia saw relatively poor sales due to economic downturns in Thailand and Indonesia.
