The all-new sixth-generation Honda CR-V is now open for bookings in Malaysia!

Honda Malaysia announced earlier today that the all-new sixth generation Honda CR-V D-segment crossover SUV is now open for bookings nationwide via its network of 101 dealerships. The latest iteration of the Japanese H-marque’s defining crossover SUV will officially launch sometime next month.

Apart from a few teaser images, Honda Malaysia also teased several key details about the new sixth-gen CR-V for Malaysia. For starters, the model will see two powertrain options available and it includes a 2.0 e:HEV hybrid option for the first time.

For the first time, the CR-V will be offered with a 2.0 e:HEV hybrid option alongside a familiar 1.5-litre VTEC Turbo option.

Expect said hybrid-powered variant to harness a similar setup as seen in the latest-gen Civic e:HEV RS whereby it pairs a 2.0-litre 4-cyl petrol mill with an electric motor system plus an eCVT box, altogether delivering 184 PS and 335 NM according to Honda Malaysia.

That aside, a more traditional 1.5-litre VTEC Turbo 4-cyl option also remains available. Paired with a CVT, , offering 193 PS and 243 NM outputs.

A sporty RS trimline will be available for the first time too featuring a host of RS-specific touches including blacked-out 18-inch wheels.

From the images provided, Honda Malaysia is set to also offer the sixth-gen Honda CR-V in sporty RS guise for the first time too. This trimline boasts RS-specific touches such as the blacked-out front grille with a bolder mesh pattern insert, full-LED head- and taillights plus foglights, as well as front sequential turn signals.

Other exclusive touches for the RS variant include ‘sleek door handles’, blacked-out 18-inch alloy wheels, as well as an Active shutter Grille primed in the front bumper’s lower quadrant that’s engineered to boost aerodynamics.

Other key highlights include 360-degree cameras, connectivity with the Honda Connect telematics app, as well as the Honda Sensing ADAS suite.

Elsewhere, Honda Malaysia also highlights other key additions on board such as a 12-speaker Bose hi-fi audio suite seen for the first time in any Honda model, 360-degree camera, connectivity with the Honda Connect telematics app, powered tailgate with walk-away closing, as well as the Honda Sensing ADAS suite.

Honda Malaysia elected not to reveal any further variant specifications or indicative price figures. Instead, the firm elected to announce special preview dates and locations for the new sixth-gen Honda CR-V starting from 17 Nov:
