- Toyota Ranked World’s Best Automaker Second Year In A Row
Photo credit: TeamBHP.com. The Japanese automaker Toyota has soared to the top of the automotive world according to Interbrand's annual list of the most valuable companies in the world, drive.com reported.
With its valuation of about $64.504 billion this year, Toyota has risen 8% from the previous year and is now ranked sixth overall. Following in order with valuations of $61.414 billion and $51.157 billion, respectively, are Mercedes-Benz and BMW, which come in seventh and tenth place.
The top 100 also included other automakers like Tesla, Honda, Hyundai, Audi, Porsche, Volkswagen, Ford, Nissan, Ferrari, and Kia. With a $49.937 billion valuation, Tesla, the pioneer of electric vehicles, is ranked 12th overall, indicating a 4% increase. Every brand in the top 100 has seen a rise in valuation, demonstrating the automotive industry's ongoing strength.
The tech trio of Apple, Microsoft, and Amazon holds the top three positions in the overall ranking. Based on their respective valuations of $502.68 billion, $316.659 billion, and $276.929 billion, these tech giants continue to command a significant market share advantage.
