Face-lifted 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLA 200 CKD Launched – From RM258,888
MBM officially announced the availability of the revised 2024MY Mercedes-Benz GLA 200 model today. Like before, it continues to roll off the line at MBM's CKD plant in Pekan, Pahang.
Mercedes-Benz Malaysia (MBM) have announced the availability of the updated and face-lifted version of the locally assembled (CKD) H247 generation Mercedes-Benz GLA compact crossover. Only one updated guise was announced, that being the GLA 200.
Much like its grounded, booted and also refreshed V177 A200 twin, the GLA 200 sees a host minor styling tweaks inside and out. The latter is evident through the revised front bumper, updated front grille featuring a single louvre and accents finished in black, as well as new LED headlights design.
At the rear, the GLA 200 dons a revised rear bumper that now sports a diffuser element. Other key changes include new front apron finished in silver, plus a newly added Spectral Blue paintjob option. As for rolling stock, the GLA 200 continues to feature two-tone 18-inch 5-spoke wheels at each corner.
Visually, the refreshed exterior boasts lightly redesigned front and rear bumpers, updated front grille, and revised headlamps.
Moving into the cabin, the GLA 200 treats drivers in the hot seat with a new leather-wrapped multifunction sports steering wheel featuring touch-control panels. This gets paired with the revised dual 10.25-inch free-standing digital displays that now run off the latest version of the MBUX software.
Besides that, MBM also notes that the safety assistance tech in the GLA 200 has also been uprated with Blind Spot Assist, Exit Warning Assist and Active Brake Assist now present. Adding convenience here too is are the additions of the Parking Package with reverse camera and Mirror Package.
New on board is the leather-wrapped multifunction sports steering wheel with new touch control panels, whilst the dual 10.25-inch digital displays now runs the latest MBUX software.
Over on to the powertrain and, just like the A200 saloon, this lifted twin continues to harness the a 1.3-litre 4-cyl turbo petrol heart that outputs 163 HP and 250 NM. Drive goes to the front wheels via a 7G-DCT 7-speed dual-clutch automatic box, and it sees 0-100 KM/H despatched in 8.9 seconds.
With today’s announcement of the face-lifted GLA 200’s availability, MBM has effectively revised its entire local A-Class-based range of models, which began with the V177 saloons and W177 hatch launched in June last year, followed by the CLA four-door coupe announced in Oct last year.
Open for viewing and orders through authorised dealers now, the revised Pekan-built 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLA 200 is tagged at RM258,888 sans insurance. Check out more images of this refreshed Mercedes-Benz compact crossover in the gallery prepared below…
