Launched: 2024 Mercedes-Benz EQE 350+ New Variants – From RM379,888
Earlier today, Mercedes-Benz Malaysia (MBM) launched new variants of its all-electric EQE and EQE SUV models.
From our coverage of the Malaysia Autoshow 2024 (MAS 2024) that’s happening this week, you’ll notice one rather prominent absence – the three-point star badge. Though absent from said show, Mercedes-Benz Malaysia (MBM) isn’t sitting idle today as it launches a few new EV models.
One of which, announced earlier today, was the 2024 Mercedes-Benz EQE 350+ range which, in its latest 2024MY guise, sees a new Electric Art Line variant added. Alongside which, MBM also announced a revised AMG Line variant of said EV saloon as well.
New for Malaysia is the EQE 350+ in Electric Art Line guise (left), whilst the familiar EQE 350+ AMG Line (right) has been revised.
Mechanically, there are no changes from the previous version of the EQE saloon MBM launched back in Dec 2022. In 350+ trim, the EQE continues to employ a single rear-mounted e-motor that outputs 292 HP and 565 NM to the rear wheels, as well as a sizeable 90.56 kWH lithium-ion battery pack.
Unchanged too is the EQE 350+’s claimed 0-100 KM/H sprint time of 6.4 seconds and 210 KM/H limited V-Max, as well as its WLTP-rated 682 KM maximum range figure. What’s changed here is the on board charger (OBC), which now accepts 22 kW AC charging inputs.
Both variants gain upgraded on-board chargers (OBCs) that now accepts 22 kW AC charging inputs, along with electric powered charging flaps.
For contrast, the EQE 350+ AMG Line launched initially only accepted 11 kW AC inputs. The upgraded charging speeds now see full AC charging (0-100%) done in 4 hours 45 minutes. That aside, 170 kW DC charging input ability remains, and this grants 10-80% re-charges in just 32 minutes.
Additionally, it’s worth noting as well that both new variants of the EQE saloon now sport new electric powered charging flaps as well.
The EQE 350+ Electric Art Line now stands as the base offering, and it rocks a distinctively different exterior trims package over it AMG Line twin featuring 19-inch wheels.
Ultimately, what’s evidently new here is the added aesthetic style choices granted by the new Electric Art Line and revised AMG Line. Starting with the former, it sports Digital Light headlamps withs Adaptive Highbeam Assist Plus, distinct dual-tone 19-inch alloy wheels, Keyless-Go Comfort package, as well as an Advanced Sound System suite, all primed as standard kit.
Notably, the Electric Art Line also sees its cabin lined in black/space grey Artico faux leather upholstery, as well as a its dash and centre console sporting a laser-cut backlit trim featuring the three-point star pattern. If the latter looks familiar, you’re not wrong – this was the trim used in the EQE 350+ AMG Line that MBM launched initially.
The EQE 350+ AMG Line remains identical as before, but it gains critical changes underneath, namely through the adoption of trick Airmatic air suspension and rear-wheel-steering (RWS).
Moving on to the revised AMG Line guise, it now sports a newly added panoramic sunroof. More critical changes can be seen in this guise’s swap from comfort suspension for new Airmatic air suspension instead, as well as the adoption of a new rear-wheel-steering (RWS) suite that offers up to 10-degrees of steering angle.
Apart from which, much of the specifications seen in its prior version remains, though the addition of trick new air suspension and RWS should promise better handling and agility from this ‘baby EQS’ model.

Panoramic glass sunroof is a key new addition specific to the EQE 350+ AMG Line.
As for safety and advanced driving assistance (ADAS), both variants share the same Driving Assistance Plus Package. This adds autonomous emergency braking (AEB), adaptive cruise control (ACC) with extended automatic restart in traffic jams, Active Lane Keeping Assist, Active Steering Assist, Evasive Manoeuvre Support and Pre-Safe Impulse Side, amongst many.
The last change can be seen in the respective price tags each variant commands. For the EQE 350+ Electric Art Line, it’s tagged at RM379,888, whereas the EQE 350+ AMG Line commands RM429,888. Included in said prices is a 4-year, unlimited mileage base vehicle warranty, plus a separate 10-year or 250,000 KM EV battery warranty.
