Sime Darby Motors has opened its first-ever pop-up store located in 1 Utama shopping mall

Sime Darby Motors (SDM) has announced the commencement of its first-ever pop-up store today. Located on the ground floor of the 1 Utama Shopping Centre (old wing), this pop-up store will be operated for three months, beginning from January 1 to March 31, 2024.

Premium automakers like BMW and MINI are both present at this pop-up store

This pop-up store will feature some of the premium brands in SDM’s extensive portfolio, including BMW, BMW Motorrad, MINI, BYD, Hyundai, and Ford. Starting with the renowned Bavarian marque, BMW’s showcase at this pop-up store will feature some of its latest EV models, like the BMW iX xDrive50 Sport, BMW iX1, as well as its flagship saloon model, the BMW i7. Sticking to the all-electric theme, MINI is showcasing its iconic all-electric hatch, the MINI Electric, at the store.

Besides four-wheeled EVs, BMW’s showcase will also feature the marque’s first-ever all-electric two-wheeled model, the BMW CE04 electric scooter.

Chinese EV marque BYD is also making an appearance at this pop-up store

From one EV marque to another, BYD’s showcase at SDM’s pop-up store will feature its current-crop of EV models, which includes the BYD Atto 3 SUV, the BYD Dolphin hatch, as well as the special BYD Atto 3 Anniversary Edition.

The all-electric theme continues with Hyundai, as the Korean automotive giant takes the 1 Utama stage with its two signature EV models, the Ioniq 5 and the Ioniq 6. With the latter featuring both the Max RWD and Max AWD variants, customers are given the chance to size-up both models up close and experience the futuristic features and eco-friendly performance they offer.

Aside from the barrage of EVs under SDM’s umbrella, visitors to this pop-up store can also check out the latest offerings from Ford Malaysia. Aside from the manic next-gen Ford Ranger Raptor, the pop-up store also features the newly-launched Ford Ranger Platinum premium pick-up truck, while the next-gen Ford Everest SUV offers the same sheer off-roading performance, minus the long flatbed at the back.

Besides having the opportunity to size up these new car models up close, visitors can also take advantage of exclusive promotions and special offers that are exclusively available at SDM’s pop-up store only, with helpful sales representatives and product experts all geared up to help you along the way.
