- CNY 2024: No KL Car-Free Morning On Feb 11
The working committee behind the weekly KL Car-Free Morning (KLCFM) initiative has taken to social media to confirm that there won’t be a running for said initiative this weekend on Sunday, Feb 11.
This comes considering the Chinese New Year festivities that falls on Saturday, Feb 10, and Sunday, Feb 11. Adding to which is the national public holiday declared on Monday, Feb 12, as a replacement holiday.
The announcement was issued via the official KLCFM Facebook page via a status update posted earlier this week. The weekly movement sees a 5 KM or 7 KM stretch of roads in the heart of the Kuala Lumpur city centre blocked off from car traffic to accommodate cyclist, runners, and skaters.
KLCFM fans will have to wait for further announcements by the committee for a confirmed resumption date for this weekly initiative that’s officially supported by the Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL).
