The all-new Aston Martin Vantage debuts with an improved, 656 HP-rated V8 and DB12-esque design.

Following the initial teaser and accidental debut of its racing twin, the all-new Aston Martin Vantage has finally made its global debut today. Arriving with a now-improved V8 mill, this high-performance coupe also gets familiar styling cues derived from its bigger sibling, the new DB12.

The new Vantage gets an improved twin-turbocharged V8 mill, now outputting 656 HP and 800 NM

Dubbed “the most driver-focused and fastest Vantage in the famous nameplate’s 74-year history,” the new Vantage is a thoroughly updated 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 mill that now features new cam profiles, larger turbochargers, and a higher compression ratio. As a result, this AMG-sourced V8 now outputs 656 HP and 800 NM – a massive improvement of 153 HP and 115 NM over the previous model.

This improved V8 mill, plus a ZF-sourced 8-speed gearbox and new launch control system, help the new Vantage boast a decent 0-96 KMH (60 MPH) sprint finish of 3.4 seconds en route to its V-max of 325 KM/H.

Still on the mechanical side, Aston engineers have equipped the new Vantage with a refined electronic steering system, plus the intelligent adaptive dampers that provide an “inherently sporting feel while leaving room to introduce progressive tighter body control.” Besides the trick suspension setup, other electronic bits present here include the advanced vehicle dynamics control system and an electronic rear differential that works in conjunction with an updated vehicle stability system.

On the styling front, the new Vantage adopts some familiar styling cues from its bigger sibling, the new Aston DB12. For starters, this two-door sportscar gets similar teardrop-style LED matrix headlights flanking Aston’s iconic massive front grille design. To complement its fiercer front face, the Vantage also gets a wider rear bumper design with prominent rear accents that house the massive quad tailpipes.

From the side, the car comes standard with 21-inch lightweight forged wheels wrapped in bespoke Michelin Pilot Sport 5 S tyres. Hiding beneath the wheels are the improved cast-iron brakes, which can be upgraded to carbon-ceramic ones that also weigh 27 KG lighter than the standard unit.

Aside from this new and unique yellow hue and other standard paint options, the new Vantage is also offered with three livery options.

To make this performance-oriented coupe more daily-drivable, Aston has revamped the new Vantage's cabin, now featuring several creature comforts and familiar DB12-derived layout

The DB12 copy goes on the insides of the new Vantage, as it features the same front dash layout featuring a new 10.25-inch central infotainment display with several physical buttons scattered around it. Besides the familiar layout, the Vantage comes standard with an 11-speaker, 390-watt audio system, which can be upgraded to 15-speaker, 1,170-watt ones by Bowers and Wilkins, should one desire.

With its production already started, the new Aston Vantage is set to begin deliveries later in Q2 this year

With deliveries set to commence later in Q2 this year, the all-new Aston Martin Vantage is now available for booking in selected markets, with its production set to commence in the first quarter of the year. While AM didn’t specify its price tag, which may vary from market to market, we can expect the new model to fetch higher premiums than the current one.
