Toyota GR Supra Driver Arrested After Drifting And Crashing Into Parked Car In Johor
A man who was captured on camera "drifting" a Toyota GR Supra before slamming into a parked car on Jalan Desa Botani 1 at around midnight on February 20, 2024, has been taken into custody by the Batu Pahat district police traffic investigation and enforcement division (BSPTD).
The suspect, who is in his 20s, was detained by the police for driving a GR Supra in a reckless and dangerous manner, as stated in Section 42(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
Superintendent Shahrulanuar Mushaddat Abdullah Sani, the chief of Batu Pahat district police, stated that an investigation was conducted following the viral success of the act's video, and the suspect was taken into custody at 1:15 p.m. yesterday.
He added that the suspect tested negative for drugs. The man will appear before the Batu Pahat magistrate's court today so that police can get a remand order to hold him while they conduct additional investigation.
