- 10 New Blueshark EV Scooter Battery Swap Stations Established
The Blueshark battery swap station network, called 'BlueStations', sees a major expansion in the Klang Valley.
Sharkgulf Technologies Group, creators of the Blueshark EV scooter brand, announced today that it has expanded its battery swapping station network. The firm revealed that it has now added 10 new locations for which sprawled across the Klang Valley specifically.
Called ‘BlueStations’, these 10 new locations further add to the existing 5 locations the firm previously established. These new BlueStations can now be found at select Petronas service stations at various convenient locations as pictured below:

Crucially, besides 24-hour CCTV monitoring, each of these BlueStations are primed with smart controls for temperature, fire, short-circuit and water damage, auto electricity cut-off and internal fire extinguishers if ever required.
Adding to which, Blueshark has also established a help and support number for WhatsApp assistance 24-hours a day. To bolster its overall convenience further, this can be accessed by users through a QR code placed on every BlueStation.

These new BlueStations are now accessible to users of the Blueshark R1 EV scooter where they can easily swap their depleted battery packs for a fresh and fully re-charged unit.
Altogether, Sharkgulf Technologies Group says these new BlueStations allow more Blueshark riders to enjoy the benefits of battery swapping. Looking ahead, the firm also notes that further expansion of its BlueStations network beyond the Klang Valley is in the pipelines.
The latter plans include key locales such as Johor Bahru and Penang. These will form part of a bigger target by Sharkgulf Technologies to see no less than 50 BlueStations established nationwide by the end of this year.

As a refresher, the Blueshark EV scooter brand officially launched itself into the local market about a year ago and introduced its sole R1 Smart Scooter offering across 2 variants. Powering the R1 is a 5 kW (6.7 HP) hub-mouted e-motor that’s juiced by a pair of swappable 2.88 kWh LFP battery packs, altogether enabling a claimed maximum range of up to 110 KM.
Launched back in March 2023, the Blueshark R1 EV scooter stands unique from other EV scooters thanks to its adoption of swappable battery pack system.
Sans battery swap subscription plan, the Blueshark R1 smart scooter is tagged at RM7,190 in is base-spec form, and at RM9,390 in its higher-specced guise. The latter features a rich list of on-board tech and amenities including advanced safety features.
