The 2024 Toyota Hiace Super Long Wheelbase Window Van is now open for booking.
UMW Toyota Motor (UMWT) has now opened the order books for the new 2024 Toyota Hiace Super Long Wheelbase (SLWB) Window Van. This booking commencement also marks the arrival of the latest, sixth-gen Hiace for the first time in our local market, five years after making its global debut back in 2019.

As its name suggests, the new Hiace SLWB stood as a bigger and more spacious model over its predecessor, measuring 5,915 MM long, 1,950 MM wide, 2,280 MM tall, and a wheelbase of 3,860 MM. Styling-wise, the new Hiace also looks more MPV-ish compared to its predecessor, featuring an elongated front hood design accompanied by the typical boxy window van body style.

For the Malaysian market, the new Hiace SLWB arrives in a sole, 10-seater version, which features four rows of seats at the rear on the right side with dedicated A/C vents for all rows. Meanwhile, the left side is left empty for easier in-and-out access for all passengers.
Despite its bare-boned cabin appearance, the new Hiace SLWB does get some decent tech and safety equipment. Key highlights include a 7-inch multimedia display with reverse camera view, three airbags, a front dashcam, three-point seatbelts for all passengers, sliding doorstep lamps, and many more.

The sixth-gen Hiace SLWB Window Van comes with a 2.8-litre turbodiesel mill that is mated to a 6-speed automatic gearbox.
On the powertrain front, the Malaysian-spec Hiace SLWB is exclusively powered by a 2.8-litre 4-cyl 1GD-FTV turbodiesel mill that delivers 177 PS and 450 NM. Said engine is then mated to a six-speed automatic transmission with a sequential shift function, providing smoother acceleration for this sizable window van.

Fully-imported (CBU) from Japan, the all-new 2024 Toyota Hiace SLWB Window Van is now available for booking, priced from RM169,000. Bookings can now be made via Toyota Malaysia’s official website, where you can also learn more about this new window van.
