According to Bernama, the Selangor Road Transport Department (JPJ) is sending out 382 officers as part of a special operation to monitor and enforce adherence to traffic laws until April 20 in preparation for the approaching Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebrations.

Azrin Borhan, director of Selangor JPJ said that the operation was launched to ensure safe operation of public transportation services and to facilitate easy travels for drivers returning to their hometowns. According to Azrin, the state's road transport department will increase patrols and monitoring during this time on major thoroughfares as well as areas that are vulnerable to accidents.

The Selangor JPJ director stated that strict enforcement will be carried out for nine major offences, including exceeding the speed limit, running red lights, using mobile devices while driving, queue-cutting, and driving in the emergency lane when not permitted.

Technical inspections of buses will also be conducted at the depot to ensure that safety is prioritized, he told reporters after inspecting a roadblock set up at the PJS 2 toll plaza on the New Pantai Expressway (NPE) last night. Bernama reported that 497 motorcycles were checked at this roadblock, with 340 summonses issued for various offences and 40 motorcycles impounded.
