Tesla has activated its first Supercharging station housed at the Sunway Carnival Mall, Penang. This also solidifies Tesla Malaysia’s plan in charging network expansion in Malaysia by connecting both Singapore and Thailand, permitting a smoother cross-border travel.

This new Supercharger station is complemented by the two existing Destination Charging stations, which have 12 Destination Chargers each at The Ship Campus in Batu Kawan and All Seasons Place.

The Sunway Carnival Supercharging Station has four Superchargers, bringing the total number of Superchargers countrywide to 40 across seven locations. This is complemented by a developing Destination Charging station network, which presently has 61 chargers in ten different locations.

Tesla provides a holistic ownership experience through smooth charging methods and technology integration. The Tesla charging experience is summed up by the motto "Plug in, charge, and go".

The Tesla App allows users to easily identify, navigate to, and monitor the status of Superchargers, with payments made immediately. The charging rate would be set at Tesla Malaysia's standard RM1.25/kWh charging price and RM4/minute idle fee (when the Supercharging Station is fully charged) to avoid hogging.
