New for Malaysia from MBM are the EQE 350+ SUV in Electric Art Line (left) and AMG Line (right).
Besides the newly expanded EQE EV saloon range, Mercedes-Benz Malaysia (MBM) also expanded the range for said model’s SUV twin. New for Malaysia are the EQE 350+ Electric Art Line and EQE 350+ AMG Line duo, and both now slot below the EQE 500 4Matic SUV model launched by MBM prior.
Unlike the initial 500-badged model mentioned, both these new 350+ variants feature a single rear-mounted e-motor setup lifted from its new saloon twins we detailed earlier. These duo also make do without all-wheel-drive (AWD).
Both variants can draw up to 22 kW AC and 170 kW DC charging inputs. Each full charge grants up to 596 KM of range (WLTP).
Nevertheless, the 292 HP and 565 NM outputs from which offer respectable performance, allowing 0-100 KM/H sprints in just 6.7 seconds whilst enroute to a capped V-max of 210 KM/H. Shared from the saloon too is the 90.56 kWh battery pack, which grants a WLTP-rated range of 596 KM.
As for charging, both 350+ variants of the EQE SUV for Malaysia see their on-board chargers (OBCs) accept 22 kW AC and up to 170 kW DC charging inputs. The latter method enables 10-80% re-charges in just 32 minutes too – just like its saloon twin.
Electric Art Line guise is easily set apart thanks to its striking 20-inch wheels that's covered in the three-point star pattern.
On to the Electric Art Line and this variant is easily set apart by its distinct dual-tone 20-inch five-spoke wheels covered in the three-point star pattern. It also boasts Digital Light headlamps with Adaptive Highbeam Assist Plus, whereas its cabin is lined in combination Neotex/Artico faux-leather upholstery in black and space grey motif.
As seen in the saloon, the Electric Art Line sees the dash sport the same laser-cut backlit trim adorned with the three-point star pattern once again. This base variant’s cabin also gets laced with ambient lighting, multi-zone automatic climate control, as well as a wireless charging pad up front. Notable here too is the chassis’ adoption of comfort suspension.
EQE 350+ SUV in AMG Line mirrors closely to its larger and pricier EQE 500 4Matic+ twin, which is also dressed in AMG Line exterior.
On to the AMG Line variant and, aptly, this one mirrors closely to the pricier – and peppier – EQE 500 4Matic SUV model, which is also dressed in AMG Line trim. Highlights include sportier exterior trims with distinct AMG five-spoke 20-inch wheels, illuminated aluminium-look running boards, plus a panoramic sunroof added.
On board, the cabin is brimmed with a Burmester 3D surround audio suite, a pair of sports seats up front, heads-up display (HUD), both the Energising and Air Balance packages to complement the climate control, Acoustic Comfort package, as well as full leather upholstery. Present here too is an open-pore magnolia wood trim in the dash with aluminium three-point star patterns.
Arguably the most crucial addition to the AMG Line variant of the EQE 350+ SUV is both the trick Airmatic air suspension and rear-wheel-steering (RWS) systems. Altogether, both these features promises enhanced handling and agility over the base EQE 350+ SUV in Electric Art Line guise.

Once again, the Driving Assistance Plus Package is shared across both and primed as standard kit. This adds Advanced Driver Assistance (ADAS) features like autonomous emergency braking (AEB), Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) with extended automatic restart in traffic jams, Active Lane Keeping Assist, Active Steering Assist, Evasive Manoeuvre Support and Pre-Safe Impulse Side.
Lastly, price. Aptly, these lifted SUV redux of the EQE 350+ EV saloons command equally higher prices in relations to the difference in size and height – and kit – they bear. Starting with he EQE 350+ SUV Electric Art Line, it commands RM398,888, whereas the sportier and up-specced EQE 350+ SUV AMG Line is tagged at RM448,888.
Like the saloon versions each underpins, said prices include a 4-year, unlimited mileage base vehicle warranty, as well as a separate 10-year or 250,000 KM EV battery warranty. Mind you, the latter is specific only to the EQE and EQS models in both saloon and SUV forms.
