- Latest PDRM Ops Sees Over 9,400 Summonses Issued Since Tuesday

Earlier this week, we brought you a report that the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) initiated a new mass operation in Kuala Lumpur. called Ops Homat Undang-Undang Jalan Raya, the effort is spearheaded by the Traffic Investigation and Enforcement (JSPT) arm.
Various local news outlets have reported earlier today that the operation saw PDRM issue a total of 9,427 summonses in the three-day span since the ops first began on June 4 (Tuesday). Besides that, there are also confirmed reports that up to 25 arrests and two vehicle seizures were performed too.
The ops is aimed at increasing road safety and enforce traffic regulations in and around the KL city centre. It's set to run until June 15.
KL police chief Sarifudin Mohd Salleh told local news outlets that the majority of the citations issued stemmed from various offences. Amongst them named by said chief include vehicles stopping in the yellow box, driving without a licence, fancy number plates, unlawful vehicle modifications, and more.
This large scale operation sees PDRM, in collaboration with the Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) and the Road Transport Department (JPJ), pressing no less than 1,500 personnel involved. Said ops is set to run until June 15.
The collective aim of this ops is to increase road safety and enforce traffic regulations in and around the city centre.
