Mercedes-Benz Malaysia (MBM) announced a slight change in its top-level management earlier this week.

Earlier this week, Mercedes-Benz Malaysia (MBM) announced a slight change in its top level management. Taking on the role of Vice President, Marketing & Sales, Mercedes-Benz Cars Malaysia & SEA II now is Nadia Trimmel.

The South African national succeeds the role previously helmed by Bettina Plangger, who is now appointed with her new Strategic Project assignment within Region Overseas role at the marque’s headquarters in Stuttgart, Germany. Trimmel’s appointment takes effect from July 1.

Trimmel brings a wealth of experience having worked in the auto industry over the last 25 years. She first joined the three-point star marque in 2014 as General Manager of Sales for two and a half years before assuming the role of Managing Director, Mercedes-Benz Vans South Africa. She also served as a member of the Mercedes-Benz South Africa Executive Committee in 2017.

As of July 1, MBM has appointed Nadia Trimmel as its new VP of Marketing & Sales, Mercedes-Benz Cars Malaysia & SEA II.

“I look forward to contributing towards shaping our strategy within the vibrant automotive landscape in Malaysia and the greater SEA II region,” expressed Trimmel via a press statement issued by MBM earlier this week.

According to MBM, Trimmel had expertly guided the Mercedes-Benz Vans business operations in South Africa, driving it to success through numerous strategic initiatives, product advancements, and process optimisations. Notably, she also spearheaded the transition of the first market, South Africa, to the Retail of the Future model with private vans in 2018.

“It is an exciting time to be at the forefront of change with the recent implementation of our new sales operating model, Retail of the Future. I am confident that together, we will establish new standards of success for Mercedes-Benz in the region,” added Trimmel further in her statement.
