- Tesla Gen 2 Optimus Robot Static Display At Pavilion KL
Tesla is back at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur to continue promoting its Model 3 and Model Y, and this time around, their gimmick to draw in the crowd is the Tesla Optimus Robot since the Cybertruck has left the country.
This Optimus Robot being showcased for the first time, is not the latest Gen 3 variant but the Gen 2 variant is basically a humanoid robot, designed to undertake mundane tasks that are repetitive, boring, or dangerous.
The design of the Tesla Optimus Robot enables it to manipulate human tools, carry objects, and work in factories. The Tesla Bot uses the same AI technology as Tesla cars, allowing it to navigate the world safely and efficiently.
However, we will have to take Tesla’s word for that, as at Pavilion KL, the Optimus Robot is purely a static display model with no tricks up its sleeves, which is a bit disappointing. At least when Chery had its robot dog, Dorry, at the Malaysia Auto Show, it was there to perform tricks and interact with visitors.
Anyway, the main purpose of the showcase is to let the public know that the Model 3 Rear Wheel Drive is now available at a 0% interest rate for just RM 2,430 per month (approx. RM 81 per day), while the Model Y can be owned from as low as RM 1,810 per month (approx. RM 60 per day).
However, do note that these promotions are applicable only to the models already available in Tesla Malaysia’s inventory and not for fresh customised bookings on the website.
