Not exactly good news, as Tesla released its Q3 2024 vehicle production and deliveries report yesterday. Analysts had predicted that the company would deliver over 463k cars during the quarter, but actual sales fell slightly short of that amount.
This week, the EV maker released its Q3 2024 vehicle production and delivery report. The report's two most important figures are total deliveries Q3 2024, which came in at 462,790, and total production Q3 2024, which came in at 469,796.

The quantity of deliveries is noteworthy because, according to CNBC, financial analysts had anticipated that the company would deliver 463,310 vehicles in Q3 2024.
The company worked hard to launch the Cybertruck in 2024, but the truck has had its share of issues, including two product recalls due to safety and manufacturing concerns.

CEO Elon Musk has recently shown himself to be an arguably contentious and problematic public figure, which could also influence the number of units purchased and deliveries overall.
Sales in China, which account for one-third of Tesla's sales, increased in July and August, according to the China Passenger Car Association. This increase could be the result of the company's decision to cut costs and provide incentives such as insurance and zero-interest financing.
