Launched: Bentley Bentayga Umbra – Only 10 Units Worldwide, RM3.67 Million
The all-new Bentley Bentayga Umbra breaks cover as a 10-unit-only special, priced at RM3.68 million.
Present before your eyes here is the all-new Bentley Bentayga Umbra, a limited-edition Bentley model made by the brand’s Mulliner bespoke arm based on the Bentayga S. Limited to only 10 units worldwide, the model displayed here by Bentley Kuala Lumpur is one of six available in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) market, each priced at RM3.677 million.
The word ‘umbra’ refers to the dark inner part of a shadow, which is reflected in the design of this special model. Although not fully draped in an all-black dress, the Bentayga Umbra gets a unique Hallmark Grey exterior that is contrasted with a slew of gloss black accents courtesy of the Blackline Specification that comes standard to the Bentayga S model.
Besides the black accents, the Bentayga Umbra is also dressed in unique Cyber Yellow accents, which are present on some of the carbon fibre parts of the exterior, such as the side mirror caps, rear wing, and the 22-inch wheels the SUV rides on. And just like any other Bentley models, the wheels do come standard with self-levelling Bentley emblems.
More yellow-hued accents can be found inside the Bentayga Umbra, where folks at Mulliner have dressed all the seats and various parts of the interior with the same Cyber Yellow hue as the exterior. Blending in some sportiness to this ultra-luxurious cabin are a slew of carbon fibre parts, plus other tech amenities such as the rotatable central infotainment display, the Bang & Olufsen audio system, and many more.
Given that the Umbra is based on the Bentayga S, this special model is powered by the same 4.0-litre bi-turbo V8 petrol engine that delivers 550 PS and 770 NM to all wheels (AWD) via an 8-speed automatic transmission. This V8 is good enough to see the Umbra completing a century sprint time in just 4.5 seconds, which is quite impressive for such a big and heavy SUV. While some would rather have a now-discontinued W12 engine under the Umbra’s hood, fret not, as this V8 mill can also respectably sing well, thanks to the additional sport exhaust it comes standard with.
Those who are keen to size up the all-new Bentley Bentayga Umbra can visit the Bentley Kuala Lumpur showroom. With only six units available in the whole APAC region, it comes to no surprise that each example is tagged handsomely at RM3.677 million, inclusive of duties, excise, and sales tax.
