- Changan's Deepal Sees 400,000th Car Roll Off Production Line
Changan-owned Deepal announced on December 30, 2024, that it had produced its 400,000th automobile, with the S05 model marking the milestone. This commemorates 29 months since the brand's beginnings in the industry.
The carmaker’s five current models are the G318, L07, S05, SL03, and S07 (previously S7), each of which comes in both range-extended and all-electric versions, with the exception of the G318, which is only available as a range-extended EV.
According to its president, Dang Chenghao, more than 240,000 units were sold in 2024. The automaker plans to deliver 500,000 cars by 2025, with 400,000 going to the domestic market and 100,000 are for foreign markets.
The company's entry into other international markets, including Malaysia and Singapore, as well as the impending S09 SUV are anticipated to aid in achieving this goal.
With Thailand serving as its first foreign market after launching the S07 and L07 earlier in January, Deepal is hopeful that its models will be available in 81 countries by the end of 2025.
Additionally, the company is constructing a plant in the nation that is expected to be operational in early 2025 and contribute to the growth of its Southeast Asian sales.
