- Lotus Revises Its Emira Line-Up
Lotus Cars recently made headlines with its revamped Emira series, which represents the progression of one of the company's final combustion-powered sports cars. The Emira, which was first launched to the market in 2022, is positioned as a challenger to famous rivals such as the Alpine A110 and the Porsche Cayman.
In preparation for 2025, the brand has now redesigned the Emira lineup, introducing new models classified as Turbo, Turbo SE, and V6 in addition to the First Edition trims.
The powerful four-cylinder turbocharged engine under the hood of the Emira Turbo generates 360 brake horsepower (bhp), and it is mated to an eight-speed dual-clutch gearbox (DCT).
Stylish 'Emira Turbo' badging, black brake callipers, and lightweight 20-inch 10-spoke alloy wheels are standard on this variant. With 12-way motorised seating adjustments and black leather upholstery, the interior also promises luxury.
With a 400 horsepower engine and 430 Nm of torque, the Turbo SE version goes above and beyond the basic Turbo by roughly 50 Nm. This model also has the Lotus Driver's Pack, which includes launch control, high-performance braking systems with six-piston callipers and cross-drilled, two-piece discs, and improved sports suspension.
Dan Balmer, the newly appointed president and CEO of Lotus Cars, expressed enthusiasm about the refreshed lineup, stating, “We are thrilled to announce the addition of new variants to the award-winning Emira, one of the most successful Lotus models to date.
The Emira range will extend to meet wider customer needs, all the more retaining the brand’s DNA and driving dynamics Lotus is renowned for.” While the prices for the new lineup haven’t been disclosed just yet, the order books are set to open at the start of next year.
